Location Information

Located at Zhong Xiao Yanji intersection. We are in a prime downtown location in the East Commercial District, directly off of Zhong Xiao East Road, one of the major arteries in Taipei. The apartment has a 24 hr doorman and the Zhongxiao/ Dunhua subway entrance is only 10 minutes away. The building is a mixed use building and there are shops and restaurants on the ground floor, however residences have a separate entrance. We are on the 5th floor of a 13 storey building.

The East Commercial District is well known as the business and entertainment hub. We are a short walk to SOGO Department Store and Breeze Center Department stores. We are about a 30 min walk (10 min taxi ride) to Taipei 101. Subways and Buses are extremely frequent. Taxis are also an inexpensive alternative

Full rental payment through Paypal to reserve the apartment. Please note that there will be a 5% surcharge automatically applied to the rental payment. We will not be able to hold an apartment for you without your rental payment.

Security Deposit

A USD $500 security deposit is to be paid through PayPal one week before arrival in exchange for the keys to the apartment. This is required for every rental apartment, regardless of duration. There are no surcharges and no additional costs. If you use credit card through PayPal then the security deposit will be credited back to your credit card. We will return the security deposit back to you within 2 working days provided that there has not been any damage to the apartment. Please note the security deposit cannot be returned before check out.

Check in and Check out

Standard check in time is 3:00pm, and check out is 10:00am. All check ins are self check ins through obtaining the keys from our lock box. Please note that all rental contract, rental payment and security deposit must be submitted before we can release the details of the lock box.

For check out please leave the keys back in the lock box and let yourselves out. Your security deposit will be returned back to your account within 2 working days.

Our office hours are Mon-Fri 9am-6pm. An additional charge of NT$1500 will apply if you need someone to personally assist you during off hours, and NT$2000 for weekends.

Opohills is not liable and does not authorize any refunds for any events or circumstances that are beyond our immediate control; including and not limited to the following events: Acts of God (including fire, flood, earthquake, storm, hurricane or other natural disaster), war, invasion, acts of foreign enemies, hostilities (regardless of whether war is declared), civil war, rebellion, revolution, insurrection, military or usurped power or confiscation, terrorist, nationalization, government sanction, blockage, embargo, labor dispute, strike, lockout or interruption or failure of utilities, nuclear disaster, epidemics, quarantine, technical or administrative problems with transport which, despite all due care being taken, could not have been avoided.

FAQ

  1. How do I make and confirm a reservation?

    Please see booking procedure and send us your request.

    We will provide you (within the next working day, and often times immediately) with a welcome email containing availabilities and costs. Please note that the availability that we report to you is only guaranteed at the time of the email. As we get many emails on a daily basis, we cannot hold dates without payment. Your reservation is confirmed once we receive your rent through PayPal.

    Once a party has submitted payment, the dates will no longer be available. If you wish to book and you are encountering problems with the payment process, please let us know as soon as possible. We thank you in advance for your understanding.

  2. What is included in the rate of the rental?

    Full use of the apartment and its facilities (including, electricity (with limits), high-speed Internet access, linen, tableware, towels, and other incidentals) from the date you arrive until the date you depart. Breakfast is not included and housekeeping can be provided at an extra cost.

  3. Are apartment rentals available for less than one week?

  5. What is your cancellation policy?

    Should you cancel your reservation more than 90 days in advance; the full reservation deposit will be refunded less 3000 NTD administrative fees. If you cancel your booking between 89-31 days before arrival then we will return 50% less $3000 administrative fees. If you cancel your reservation less than 30 days before arrival then there will not be any refund. Please note that there are no refunds for shortened stays. (no exceptions)

  6. What is your operating hours?

    Our office is open from Monday to Friday from 9:00am -6:00pm.

  7. How do I pick up the keys to the apartment?

    All check ins are self check ins through obtaining the keys from our lock box. Please note that all rental contract, rental payment and security deposit must be submitted before we can release the details of the lock box. We will provide you with 2 sets of keys in the lockbox for you. You will be responsible for the replacement of the key if it is lost or stolen.

  8. Check in appointments

    Please note that it is necessary to call us once you have arrived in Taipei. Our offices are not located at the apartments so you will need to give us enough notice to account for our travel time as well. Your confirmation form will have a check-in time based on the arrival details that you provide however, your check-in time is not guaranteed until you have called us so that we may assess your arrival time at the apartment. We cannot assume any responsibility if you fail to do so. Failure to call may mean that we are unable to meet you at the apartment when you arrive, in which case you may come directly to our office to pick up the keys. Check in appointments are 30 mins only so please contact us again if you are running late.

  9. Is there a security deposit?

    very important reasons for charging the security deposit

    -failing to return all sets of keys on departure or damaging keys
    -failing to leave the apartment at check out time
    -damaging the apartment's furniture or facilities
    -lodging more people than mentioned in the contract
    -noise is forbidden after 21:00 inside the apartment and also in the staircase. Please do not disturb the neighbor when opening or closing doors.
    -we do not accept reservations from people who rent the apartment for illegal activities or invite escorts during their stay.

  10. May I arrive earlier (or leave later) than the stated arrival time (or departure time)?

    Our standard check in time is at 3:00pm and check out time is 10am. Please contact us in advance if you need to make other arrangements.

  11. My arrival time is outside of your office hours, how do I check in?

    We encounter this scenario a lot. In this event please let us know your arrival time at the time of booking or as soon as you can. The keys and welcome package can be acquired at our office lock box or in the building lock box in some rentals. We will release the combination to the lock box only after we receive both the full rental payment and security deposit.

  12. How do I get from the airport to the your Taipei apartment, and vice versa?

    Probably the easiest and quickest option is for us to book your transportation for you through our local airport transport provider as we will be in contact with each other and it will ensure a smooth transition from airport to apartment. Please ask us for the link for airport service.

  13. Is there Internet service in the apartment?

    Yes, we provide high-speed Internet service in all of our apartments in Taipei. However the internet service is complimentary and we will only service interruptions to the internet service during our office hours.

  14. Is there a telephone for my use in the apartment?

    We currently only provide telephones for our studio units. It offers low rates for local and international calls. Once you arrive, we will provide you with the apartment’s telephone number and specific instructions.

    It is also very convenient to set up your mobile phone with a SIM card and a pre-paid phone card from a local carrier . The main carriers are Chunghwa Telecom and FarEastone and you can easily purchase a SIM card from any convenience store. Please note that they will require a photocopy of your passport plus one additional piece of ID.

  15. Is the apartment convenient to public transportation?

    Yes, all of our apartments are prime real estate located at the heart of Taipei and are conveniently located near bus and subway lines. Please visit http://english.trtc.com.tw, the official website for the Taipei Metro and Bus service, for transportation schedules and maps.

  16. Do you have available restaurant recommendations?

    Yes, in each Taipei apartment’s Welcome book we provide a list of wonderful restaurants in the area and recommended points of interest for our valued guests.

  17. My flight arrives really early in the morning or my departure isn't until the evening, do you know where I can leave my luggage?

    We can allow you to leave you luggage at our office during our office hours from M-F 9:00am-6:00pm. If you would like to have somewhere to leave your luggage outside of our office hours then you can reserve an extra day either before or at the end of your stay so that you can use the apartment right away when you arrive or until the time you need to depart. As an alternative there are several locations in Taipei that allow you to store your luggage. Here is a list of places that have public lockers that can accommodate your luggage.

    Directions : Exit East Entrance , cross road at traffic light near the taxi stand. Keep walking down the road passed the Parking Lot and turn left into the lane. Baggage Center there on your Right.
    Rates: NTD17/ day for the First 10 days. Add NTD34 for every additional day, onwards from the 11th day

  18. Are we allowed to cook inside the apartment?

    We only allow light cooking inside the apartment. Heavy cooking with lots of oils and spices such as curry are not allowed as the grease stains and damages our wallpaper, yellows our furniture and cupboards and the lingering cooking smell requires extra time and special equipment to get rid of. Lingering cooking smells that are hard to get rid of will result in additional cleaning charges.

  19. I would like to mail order some purchases and have them sent to the apartment. How can I arrange this?

    Our doorman at our apartments will not be able to facilitate this service so please Do NOT send anything directly to the apartment address. If you have prepaid mail orders then please send them to our office and we can deliver it to the apartment for you after we receive it. Please contact us directly to arrange this service.
